Background - Kemmel Ltd
A personal statement
by Bruce Frith MD
Kemmel was set up in 1982 to offer an
engineering sub contract service providing quality, on time, at a
competitive price. Since that date we have achieved our aim and this
has been proved by the fact that we still serve all our original
customers today.
In 1986 it was decided to diversify by
marketing an engineering product in which we had confidence and one we
were proud to put the Kemmel name to.
Thus our partnership was born with
Heidenhain, the world leaders in electronic measurement and controls
for machines, and the Electronic Measurement division of Kemmel
came into being.
In 1996 Kemmel gained full ISO 9002
accreditation, covering both aspects of the business, which we still
hold with pride.
Gaining ISO 9002 enabled Kemmel to
compete in the aerospace market which has been a successful venture,
gaining long term engineering contracts for the manufacture of
components for the Eurofighter and the Harrier update.
After successfully launching Kemmel
Electronic Measurements we have, over a period of time, added two more
important names to our electronic measurement portfolio Nikon and
Quadra Chek.
Since 1995 we have established an
excellent reputation for the supply, service and repair of rotary
encoders, becoming a prime source for many blue chip companies in the
UK and the rest of the world. In addition we can service and repair
many makes of drive motors for CNC machines.
We believe we offer a service second to
none.
